I used to let stress wake me up in the morning, no need for an alarm. When I first started becoming responsible for daily ad spend of $20k, $30k, and then eventually $100k the pressure started getting to me. There wasn’t a morning routine in the world that could help with this problem. The solution? Get used to big money. Some of my clients are incredibly wealthy and if I wanted to be a leader on their team I needed to change my beliefs about money. Now I view it as a video game. That’s how I scaled my first client to $1.83 million per month in revenue with high profitability. Now when I wake up in the morning I journal, walk the dog, get some sun, and enjoy a nice espresso. It’s easy now. I share this story, not to brag, but to help give entrepreneurs perspective. Social media is a place that can easily make us feel insecure or behind. I’ve work with celebrities and companies producing $10M-$20M/ year and you’d be surprised - they’re stressed. Not all of them, but a lot of them! Create a life and business that will love you back. 🥂 This post was inspired by the book “Buy Back Your Time” and a killer conversation with the sales legend Robb Quinn Let’s get after it ⚔️

Last year I decided short notice to participate in a triathlon. It was one of the most rewarding and empowering decisions I have ever made. I trained for about 2 months and dialed in my sleep, nutrition, and trained in 90+ degree south Texas heat. Ironically, my business improved during this phase of my life and has continue to improve ever since I upgraded higher levels of discipline and consistency. We often underestimate the concept of small consistent wins over a long periods of time because we all want to cash in on the big milestones. Don’t rely on willpower alone. Rely on a consistent routine and structure. 🏆

13 years ago my friend showed me a video from Frank Kern. It was an interview of John Reese & Frank by Tony Robbins talking about the potential of online business & marketing. I was so inspired, I took a BOLD risk and quit my job at the grocery store (lol). About 8 years later a client hired Frank Kern to audit some ad accounts I was managing. He spent 90 minutes deep diving into every campaign with both me and the client on Zoom (I was sweating profusely)... The conclusion? Frank said I was crushing it and reminded the client how difficult running successful paid ads can be. The campaigns were KILLING IT but the client wanted more, which I understand. But we were already the #1 Medicare company in the country by a long shot. What started as a family business with a couple of salesmen eventually turned into a large office space with 20+ hungry sales reps. Our paid ads system fed them 1,592 sales calls per month. Every day I try to appreciate myself for believing in me when no one else saw the vision. Go all in on yourself then earn your own respect.

Huge client success story! Facebook ads still work like crazy... Last year we booked 6,782 sales calls for a client using a very simple sales funnel + a strategic Facebook marketing campaign. The key to call booking funnels is effective follow ups, tracking, and creative testing. It's easy to get complacent once you find a winning ad campaign so it's important to continue testing even when things are good. Recently a client messaged us on Slack asking to turn the ad spend down because the lead flow was too high and they were fully booked. 😅 This is why I love paid ads.

I'm conducting a new experiment. Moving forward I'm going to spend my time posting & networking on LinkedIn instead of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. Has anyone seen benefits from investing their time and energy here on LinkedIn instead of other platforms?
