Miranda Lambert was born on November 10, 1983, in Longview Texas. She grew up in Lindale Texas named after her great-grandmother Lucy Miranda. Miranda has a younger brother.

Her parents Rick and Bev Lambert met when Bev was at camp at Southern Methodist University. Rick at the time was an undercover narcotics officer on campus. They got together a few years later.
