Warning: spoilers ahead for the Season 7 finale of Suits.

The two-hour season finale of Suits had a lot to do: resolve the current drama surrounding the firm, set up Jessica Pearson's spinoff, and send Mike and Rachel off somehow. Fans have known for a while that Mike and Rachel would be leaving at the end of Season 7. Meghan Markle is all set to marry Prince Harry and Patrick J. Adams is evidently ready to move on to other projects. The big questions were how exactly Rachel and Mike would leave and if they could actually get a happy ending. Well, the finale revealed the answer to both questions, and fans can be content that their story didn't come to a tragic end.

Mike and Rachel did get to tie the knot in the Season 7 finale, although it wasn't on their original schedule. The two crazy kids decided to move their wedding up after they got a job offer that required them to leave New York within a matter of days. Instead of delaying their wedding or putting it off indefinitely, they recruited the assistance of Donna to put a last-minute wedding together.

The wedding turned out to be everything that Suits fans pulling for a happy ending could have wanted. Donna was Rachel's maid of honor, Harvey was Mike's best man, and a good time was had by all. Given that we're almost certainly never going to see Rachel back on Suits, this finale was the last time we could see Rachel and Mike together. The episode gave fans a combination of closure on their previous story and promise of new lives in the next chapter.

The next chapter of their lives will take place in Seattle. In the first hour of the finale, Mike was approached by a man who offered him and Rachel positions at the head of a firm that deals with the kinds of cases that help people rather than corporate cases. They'll lead the charge of a firm that exclusively handles class-action cases against Fortune 500 companies.

The offer came at a particularly sensitive time, as Mike was struggling with the case of children suffering from lead poisoning due to exposure from an adjacent company. Many of the kids were incurably sick and no amount of money could fix their problems, but Mike wanted to do what he could. Rachel pitched in and the two managed to figure out that the company's handling of its liability insurance proved that it knew about the lead poisoning. Mike got to nail the company head in court, he and Rachel got hitched, and they rode off into the sunset. It was as much of a happily-ever-after that we could have hoped for on Suits, and hopefully even diehard fans of Rachel and Mike can be happy at the big goodbye. An era of Suits has ended, and we'll have to wait and see how the show works without them.

Suits will return for Season 8 without Mike and Rachel but with some new faces on board to fill in the blanks. For what you can watch while we wait for the eighth season, take a look at our summer TV premiere guide and our Netflix premiere schedule.
